Last Friday, 28th November 2025, The Church of Pentecost International, Spain, brought its National Week of Prayer to a glorious close with a spirit-filled Mega Watchnight Service. Hosted at the VIC Central Auditorium and joined live by districts across the country, the night was marked by fervent prayer, heartfelt worship, and a strong manifestation of God’s presence. It was evident to all that God truly visited His church.

The National Head, Apostle Gordon Opoku Boakye, delivered the message for the night under the theme “Building the House of God,” drawing from Haggai chapters 1 and 2. He reminded the congregation that when a person believes in Christ, their life becomes a dwelling place for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Though life’s challenges or personal missteps may diminish the glory we once carried, Apostle Opoku Boakye stressed that the “house”, our lives, our spiritual journey, and the Church itself, still matters deeply to God. No matter its condition, God never abandons His temple; instead, He calls His people to rise and rebuild.

In his message, he explained that God expects believers to work on the house, work in the house, and work on themselves. Rebuilding requires strength and courage, but when we commit ourselves to the things of God - prayer, holiness, service and obedience, He fills His house with His glory. Apostle Opoku Boakye also reminded the church that spiritual resistance is real, but when the temple is kept in order, no plan of the enemy can prevail, for the One who lives in us is greater than the one in the world.

He went on to highlight why the temple matters: God desires to do something glorious in it; God dwells in it; and God grows His people within it through worship, prayer and the Word. He cautioned that neglecting the temple, whether our personal spiritual lives or the corporate church, creates room for confusion, stagnation, and spiritual attack. But when the house is kept clean and attended to, God’s glory brings renewal, opens doors and provides divine covering for His people.

The National Head urged believers not to leave the house empty, but to stay connected to the Holy Spirit. As the glory of God increases within, His power becomes evident through us. “All God needs is our hearts,” he said. “We must open ourselves and allow Him to work within us.” When God builds His people, His glory becomes visible, even when we ourselves do not see it, those who oppose us will.

The Mega Watchnight proved to be a night of spiritual renewal, healing, and personal encounter. Many left strengthened, restored and determined to continue building the house of God with diligence and devotion. It was a fitting and powerful conclusion to a week set aside for prayer, reflection and drawing closer to the Lord.

If you missed this Watchnight, don’t miss the next one. God is doing something new in our midst, and we encourage everyone to stay prayerful, stay connected, and stay expectant. Photos from the service will be published soon. May the Lord continue to build His house and reveal His glory among His people.
