Apostle Gordon Opoku Boakye, born on 23 November 1969 in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana, hails from Sekyedumasi in the Ejura/Sekyedumasi District. He is the third of eight children of the late Mr. Aaron Emmanuel Opoku, an educationist, and Mrs. Comfort Opoku, a businesswoman. Raised in a strong family, he developed early the values of discipline, hard work, and service to God that would shape his life and ministry.

He pursued studies that equipped him both academically and spiritually. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University College of Management Studies, a Diploma in Theology and Pastoral Care from Pentecost University School of Theology and Missions, and a Certificate in Prophetic Ministry from Charis Education and Training. This blend of technical and theological training has uniquely prepared him for leadership in the mission field.

Apostle Opoku Boakye was called into full-time ministry in 2009 as a Field Assistant. In 2012, he entered the Pastoral Ministry, and in 2014, he was appointed as the National Head. Six years later, in 2020, he was called into the Apostolic office. His ministerial journey has taken him across Europe, serving in different cultural contexts with dedication and vision. From Zürich, where he pastored from 2009 to 2014, to leading The Church of Pentecost in Switzerland as National Head from 2014 to 2020, and later as National Head of Denmark from 2020 to 2025, he has consistently demonstrated pastoral care, spiritual depth, and a missionary spirit. In 2025, he takes up his new role as National Head of The Church of Pentecost in Spain.

He is married to Mrs. Stella Opoku Boakye, a Nursing Assistant, who has been a faithful partner in ministry. Together, they are blessed with three children, all born and raised in Switzerland: Elvin (born 1994), Jessica (born 2000), and Justin Aaron (born 2006).

With decades of service behind him, Apostle Gordon Opoku Boakye steps into this new chapter with a heart for missions, a passion for equipping believers, and a vision to see the church in Spain grow in strength and impact.
